At Origen Raíz del Espíritu, year after year, we hold the "Pecho de Venado" festival, marking the beginning of the production of our traditional artisanal mezcal. The celebration takes place during the winter season and this time took place on December 10 and 11, 2023, at "Rancho El Ojo," the birthplace of Origen Raíz del Espíritu. This event seeks not only to kick off the production of our renowned "Pecho de Venado" mezcal, but also to commemorate our respect for nature, family, and tradition. With the production of this new batch, we seek to honor the new generations.
At this celebration, we had as guests the distributors of Fidencio Spirits and PM Spirits, in addition to the presence of local consumer centers such as Barocco Cucina Tradizionale Italiana, as well as the attendance of all the brand's partners, the Angulo family, and friends of the Saravia family.
During the event, our guests participated in activities that allowed them to connect with nature and spirituality, including camping in collaboration with Chaparral Adventure, enjoying typical Tuitán food, tasting our various types of mezcal, horseback riding, and, for the first time, exploring our tasting room.
The celebration culminated with the production of the new batch of "Pecho de Venado" mezcal, where Don Valentín prepared his traditional recipe with seasonal fruits, spices, and venison, hunted two days before the process.
