In the cosmic dance between the sun and the moon, eclipses are mysterious ballets that invite us to witness celestial wonder. At Origen Raíz del Espíritu, in collaboration with Solare Ristorante, we immerse ourselves in the astronomical journey of witnessing the fleeting magic of a solar eclipse.
Why is a solar eclipse so fascinating?
This is a spectacular and relatively rare event that occurs when the Moon, in its orbit around Earth, aligns itself precisely between the Sun and our planet, partially or completely blocking sunlight. This phenomenon creates an intriguing play of shadows on Earth.
In collaboration with mathematician and astronomy expert Randy Schmerik and his son Tom Schmerik, representing Solare Ristorante, and Mr. Bildo Saravia, representing the Root Origin of the Spirit team, this phenomenal adventure was possible.
Our journey began on April 6th with a welcome from Mr. Randy and 60 guests who had traveled from San Diego, California, to experience this wonderful experience. Our guests enjoyed a welcome cocktail at the Hotel Gobernador, located in Durango, Dgo., before moving to Rancho Las Yucas for the festive reception.
The celebration continued on Sunday the 7th at “Rancho El Ojo,” the birthplace of Origen Raíz del Espíritu, where our visitors enjoyed a camping experience and traditional regional food.
Finally, our adventure culminated on April 8th at Santiaguillo Lagoon in Durango, Dgo., providing the perfect setting to admire such a wonderful and unique phenomenon as a solar eclipse. During this event, our guests enjoyed typical regional food, drinks, and live music, in addition to experiencing the excitement of this cosmic phenomenon guided by our cosmic expert.
