Cinemex Platino became the ideal setting for the presentation of our highly anticipated documentary "Guardians of the Spirit," produced by Alberto Peschard Saenz with support from the State Tourism Board. This is a project in which we aim to share and highlight the cultural richness and heritage of mezcal, and in which we seek to pay tribute to the traditions that go hand in hand with this ancestral beverage. The screening, organized by the mezcal brand Origen Raíz del Espíritu, was an event that combined a passion for cinema with a profound respect for the mezcal tradition.
The documentary offers an intimate and revealing look at the communities that have kept the mezcal tradition alive throughout the centuries. Through stunning visual narrative and poignant interviews, "Guardians of the Spirit" explores not only the mezcal production process but also the personal stories of the artisans who dedicate their lives to preserving this tradition.
The film presentation was more than just a screening; it was a celebration of mezcal culture. In addition, attendees had the opportunity to taste a selection of our spirits, enjoy snacks, and take home souvenirs, allowing those present to experience firsthand the quality and character of the product at the heart of the documentary.
